March 8^th, 2022: With a 77% unemployment rate of Palestinian women and with 93% of businesses reporting a decrease in sales as a result of #COVID19, it’s almost impossible for women to join the workforce!

Today #USAID Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman met with inspiring Palestinian #businesswomen to learn about the challenges they face and how USAID can best support and empower women-led businesses.

USAID - US Agency for International Development supports business recovery from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and improves employment opportunities through the Small and Medium Enterprise Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) activity, implemented by DAI Global. SMART will provide assistance to over 200 Palestinian firms, train employees on new technologies, and generate new sustainable jobs during the life of the activity.
