Women’s Economic Empowerment is foundational to the Small and Medium Enterprise Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) Project, funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by DAI. The SMART Project strives to ensure that women have meaningful participation and equitable benefit throughout all activities. This means both incentivizing women’s participation in the private sector as well as identifying and maximizing the strengths of female entrepreneurs and business leaders.
